Speaker Biography:

President of Performance Matters, Inc., Dr. Paul G. Schempp is a professional speaker, coach and consultant. Being the author of six books, including the award winning 5 Steps to Expert: How to Go from Business Novice to Elite Performer, over 90 articles, and delivering more than 250 presentations to organizations in 26 countries has made Paul an internationally renowned authority on the development of expertise. He has served as a Senior Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Frankfurt (Germany), a visiting professor at the Nanyang Technical University in Singapore, and has delivered lectures at two dozen universities on three continents.

Synopsis:

This program will cover two important aspects of mentoring:
a) the skills needed to mentor masterfully, and b) developing successful mentoring relationships.
The content of this program is based on the presenter’s successful work in establishing Delta Air Lines New Hire Pilot Mentoring program, the Tokyo Olympic Committee International Coach Mentoring program, and the Professional Golf Association’s Master Professional Mentoring program. The normal relationship cycle experienced in successful mentoring relationships will be explained and examples of successful activities applicable for each phase of the relationship will be provided. Additionally, the key roles effective mentors play in successful mentor relationships and specific skills used by master mentors will be revealed. Handouts and engagement activities will allow the attendees to easily and readily apply the content in their current and future mentoring relationships.
