We are thrilled to invite you to our first multi-chapter virtual speaker event of the year. We have an exciting presentation by one of Southern Nevada's very own chapter volunteers and published authors, Paul Bruno, on Project Management in History: The Original Jeeps. This session offers project professionals an opportunity to step back in time and learn from a fascinating case study in rapid innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving under extreme pressure.
The story of how the first Jeeps were developed highlights lessons in project management, stakeholder alignment, and agile execution that remain highly relevant today. By exploring this historic project, attendees will gain fresh insights they can apply to modern challenges in efficiency, teamwork, and delivering results against tight deadlines.
This is a great opportunity to learn from a top expert, gain unparalleled insights and connect with like-minded individuals within the PMI community. Register now! We look forward to seeing you there.

Speaker: Paul Bruno, PgMP, PMP, CPMAI

Paul R. Bruno is recognized as one of the most knowledgeable living experts on the earliest history of the origins, design, implementation and worldwide delivery of the iconic Jeep vehicle and has spent twenty-five years researching, writing and studying early Jeep history.

He has spent countless hours and treasure to tell this story to the world, first for the big screen and now three times in book form. After visiting key sites in the story, and years of research, including at the United States National Archives, he combined his knowledge of project management and history into the 2014 book Project Management in History: The First Jeep.

After additional research he completed The Original Jeeps in 2020, updated in 2024 which tells the complete story of early Jeep history through January 1942. The Original Jeeps in Pictures, published in 2022, tells the story of early Jeep history in images.

Paul has more than 35 years’ experience in the fields of project management and information technology. He holds bachelor’s degrees in management and computer software, as well as master’s degrees in business administration and history along with PMI’s PgMP, PMP and CPMAI certifications.

What is a Multi-Chapter Meeting/Webinar?

This is a program formed in 2023 in collaboration with PMI-LA and other chapters to pool resources and share the burden of putting on virtual PDU webinars. As of this writing, PMI-HI plans to add this to our existing programing, not replace our usual luncheon event.  For more about Multi-Chapter Meetings/Webinars, click the read more.
